Polyhexamethyleneguanidine hydrochloride, commonly known as PHMG, is a polymeric guanidine compound with the CAS number 57028-96-3. It is an eco-friendly, multi-purpose antimicrobial polymer widely used in various fields. PHMG is odorless and easily dissolves in water to form a tasteless, colorless transparent solution. Its polymeric structure reduces toxicity while maintaining excellent sterilization effects. It remains active even after heating at 280°C for 15 minutes, demonstrating exceptional thermal stability. PHMG is non-corrosive to metals including copper and stainless steel.
